Cabbage Dumplings Recipe

Pastry -
150g

Filling -

Seasoning -

1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon

Wheat starch
Flour
Boiling water
Green food coloring
Conflour
Salt
Cooking oil
Carrot
Parsley, chopped
Shrimps, shelled
Cornflour
Sugar
Pepper
Salt

Method :
Pastry -
-
Sift the wheat starch,
cornflour, flour and salt into a bowl and mix well.

Pour in the boiling water
and stir quickly.

Remove on to a table, add
the oil, and knead into a soft dough.
Filling -
-
Blanch and refresh the
carrot.

Finely dice for later use.

Dice the shrimps coarsely,
blend in the mixed seasoning, and pound until firm.

Add the diced carrot and
chopped parsley and mix thoroughly.

Chill in the refrigerator
for 1 hour.
To complete -
-
Roll the dough into a long
thin cylinder and divide into 30 equal portions.

Press each portion into a
round with a pastry knife, then put in some filling.

Draw in and seal the edges
of the round to make a cabbage shape.

Brush some green coloring
on the edges of the pastry.

Arrange the dumplings in a
greased steamer and cook for 6 minutes.
