Meat and Colocasia Curry Recipe

Boneless mutton or beef
Colocasia
Onions, ground
Garlic paste
Ginger paste
Thick curd, whisked
Salt
Red chili powder
Garam masala powder
Turmeric powder
Powdered green cardamom
Oil for deep frying

Method :

Wash meat, pat dry and cut
into 5 cm cubes.

Peel colocasia, wash and
leave whole.

Heat oil for deep frying
in a deep frying pan and lightly fry the colocasia.

Drain and set aside.

Heat 3 tablespoons oil in
a non-stick pan, add onions and fry till brown.

Add meat, garlic and
ginger and continue frying for 8-9 minutes, stirring frequently.

Mix in remaining
ingredients except colocasia.

Stir in 2 cups water,
transfer to a pressure cooker and cook under pressure for 15
minutes.

Allow cooker to cool
before opening it.

Add colocasia and simmer
for 8-9 minutes.

Serve with rice, naan or
tandoori bread.
