Mutton with Black Beans Recipe

Black peppercorns
Cloves
Cinnamon
Chopped onions
Garlic paste
Ginger paste
Red chili powder
Turmeric powder
Powdered aniseed
Coriander powder
Salt
Ground fresh coconut
Fresh tomato puree
Curry leaves
Chopped coriander leaves

Method :

Wash meat, pat dry and cut
into 3 cm cubes.

Heat oil in a non-stick
pan, add whole spices, onions, garlic and ginger, and fry till
light brown.

Mix in spice powders, salt
and coconut and fry for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add meat and fry for 7-8
minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mix in tomato puree and
fry for 6-7 minutes.

Stir in 3 cups water,
transfer to a pressure cooker and cook under pressure for 15
minutes.

Allow cooker to cool
before opening it.

Add curry leaves and
simmer for a further 2 minutes.

Garnish with coriander
leaves and serve with white steamed rice.
