Orange Flavored Meat Recipe

Boneless lamb or veal
Oil
Powdered cashew nuts or almonds
Black pepper powder
Powdered nutmeg
Powdered mace
Salt
Sliced ginger
Orange juice
Peel of 2 medium oranges
Mint sprigs

Method :

Wash meat, pat dry and
shred.

Heat oil in a non-stick
pan, add meat and fry till golden.

Stir in powdered nuts and
fry over low heat for a few moments, stirring constantly.

Mix in spice powders,
salt, ginger and 1 1/2 cups water, and simmer over low heat till
meat is three-quarters cooked.

Scrape the pith off the
orange peel, shred rind and boil in water for 5 minutes.

Drain rind, add to meat
with orange juice, and cook over low heat till tender.

Garnish with mint sprigs
and serve with naan, roomali bread or tandoori bread.
