Spicy Roast Beef Recipe

Ghee or 3 tablespoons oil
Medium onions, sliced
Medium tomatoes, chopped
Dried red Kashmiri chilies
Sugar
Garlic
Piece ginger
Green chilies
Dried red Kashmiri chili
Black peppercorns
Cloves
Cinnamon
Turmeric powder

Method :
-
Wash meat, pat dry, cut
into 5 portions and prick all over with a fork.

Combine salt and vinegar
with ground paste, rub into meat and marinate for 2 hours.

Heat ghee or oil in a
non-stick pan, add onions and fry till golden.

Add meat and fry for 7-8
minutes, turning meat frequently.

Mix in tomatoes, red
chilies and sugar, and fry for 5 minutes, turning occasionally.

Stir in 2 cups water,
transfer to a pressure cooker, and cook under pressure for 25
minutes.

Allow cooker to cool
before opening it.

Remove meat from cooker,
cut into slices and return to cooker.

Simmer for a further 5-6
minutes.

Serve with deep fried
potatoes and a salad.
