cup split peas

medium onions, chopped finely

red chilies, chopped finely
1/2
teaspoon turmeric, ground
Salt to taste
Cooking oil for deep frying
Sliced onion and lemon wedges to garnish
Method :
Fill a pot with water and soak the split
peas overnight for at least 6 hours. Drain, and use a food processor to
blend the soaked split peas to a smooth paste. Mix in other ingredients
except the cooking oil and garnishing. Form small balls from the mixture
and flatten to about 1 cm thickness.
Heat a wok with the cooking oil and fry the fritters one at a time. Fry
until it is golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve with the
garnishing.
