Ingredients :
500 g tender beans

tablespoon ghee
1
medium onion, chopped finely
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated finely
1
teaspoon ground turmeric
1
teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon chili powder
2
ripe tomatoes, chopped
Salt to taste
Lemon juice
Method :
Top and tail the beans. Then remove the
strings and cut into bite-size pieces. Heat a saucepan with ghee and
saute the onion and ginger over moderate heat until the onion is
softened and golden in color. Add turmeric, chili powder, garam masala
and salt to taste. Fry for 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and cook until they
became a pulp and most of the liquid evaporates. Add beans and stir
well. Cover partially with a lid and cook until the beans are just
tender. Do not overcook the beans. Stir in lemon juice to taste before
serving hot.
