Nasi Kunyit Recipe
(Glutinous Yellow Rice)

Glutinous rice (pulut)
Water
Salt
Garlic, crushed
Ground turmeric
Ground black pepper
Daun pandan
Hot coconut milk
Crisp fried onion flakes

Method :

Wash rice and
drain.

Put into a
saucepan with water, salt, garlic, turmeric, pepper and pandanus leaf
for flavoring.

Bring to the
boil, reduce heat, cover tightly and steam for 10 minutes.

Uncover, add
coconut milk (which should be very hot), and with a long-pronged fork,
stir gently so that the rice is mixed with the coconut milk.

Cover and cook
10 minutes longer.

Serve garnished
with onion flakes and accompanied by other dishes.
