2 garlic cloves, halved
4 ripe plum tomatoes, sliced
A few basil leaves, torn into pieces
60 ml/4 tbsp olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method :
Toast the bread slices until crisp. Rub the surfaces of the bread with the
garlic cloves, then rub the tomato slices over the bread, squashing them
with a fork. Sprinkle with the basil, drizzle with the olive oil and
season to taste with salt and pepper. Leave to stand for a few minutes
before serving.
