Method :

Boil 2 cups
water in a pot to cook the green soybeans briefly (you may add a little
bicarbonate of soda).

Scoop to cool
under cold running water and drip dry.

Add water to
pot to cover the green soybeans.

Add salt and
star anise.

Cover with a
lid and cook for about 8 minutes or until beans are cooked.

When beans are
cool, refrigerate.

Serve cold.
Notes : You may
add bicarbonate of soda to cook together with the beans. In this way, it
is easier for the beans to become soft, it can retain the fresh green
color.
