Siyow Chicken Recipe

Whole chicken, cut into bite size
Young ginger, sliced
Dried chilies, cubed
Fresh basil leaves
Soy sauce
Fish sauce
Thick soy sauce
Sugar
Sesame oil
Chinese cooking wine
Water
Cornflour mixture

Method :
-
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in
a wok.

Stir fry the ginger and
dried chilies until fragrant.

Add chicken and stir fry
thoroughly.

Pour in soy sauce, fish
sauce, thick soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, cooking wine and water.

Cover the lid and cook for
10 minutes.

Stir in cornflour mixture
and basil leaves.
-
Serve hot.
Note : Chicken meat is well
done when it shrinks and detaches from the chicken bone.
